In this chapter Christopher tells you something about the book “The Hound of the Baskervilles” which is a detective story. First he explains what happens in the book and says that it’s his favourite book, because it’s a Sherlock Holmes adventure. Nevertheless there are some things he doesn’t like in the story, for example that the book is sometimes written in an old language. But otherwise he likes “The Hound of the Baskervilles” because of the clues and the Red Herrings and then he shows some examples of these. He also explains why he likes Sherlock Holmes. In Christopher’s opinion Sherlock Holmes is proper and very intelligent. Christopher compares himself with the popular detective and finds out many things they have in common. For example, that both don’t believe in the supernatrual. At the end of the chapter Christopher gives the reader two interesting facts about Sherlock Holmes, that normally nobody knows. All in all he describes everthing in the chapter closely, but in a short form and after reading this you know very much about “The Hound of the Baskervilles” and Sherlock Holmes.
