“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” is written in the first person. Christopher Boone, the protagonist of the book, takes you through a little but important part of his life. You can learn a lot about his problems, feelings, his character and other personal things.
Chapter 3:” My name is Christopher John Francis Boone. I know all the countries of the world and their capital cities and every prime number up to 7,507.”
The book shows you how life with the Asberger Syndrom is. How Christopher knows every detail of different situations.
Chapter 11: “There was a policewoman and a policeman. The policewoman had a little hole in her tights on her left ankle and a red scratch in the middle of the hole. The policeman had a big orange leaf stuck to the bottom of his shoe which was poking out from one side. (…) “How old are you?” he asked. I replied, “I am 15 years and 3 months and 2 days.””
The story is written in a childish language.

It’s also written in a colloquial language.
Chapter 71: “He sometimes say things like, “We’ve got to get out of this town, kiddo.” And sometimes he says , ” Swindon is the areshole of the world.””
Chapter 227: “And the man with the diamond patterns on his socks said, “Fucking Nora.” (…) And she said, “Ok , buddy…””
Chapter 157: “And he said, ” What the fuck are you…? That’s my cupboard, Christopher. Those are… Oh shit… Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit.””
In the book are also some letters Christopher’s mother wrote to him. There are lots of spelling mistakes which are meant to be there.
